Tutoring / ESL Teaching / Youth After School Programs

Because language and learning is often a stress in a refugee’s life upon arrival in America, WRC provides various opportunities for tutoring and teaching of both the adults and children alike.

Tutoring
World Relief Chicago needs volunteers to provide in-home tutoring to the refugees. This means weekly visits to a refugee’s home for a minimum of four months.

ESL Teaching
There is also a need for ESL teachers/assistants, one day a week, Monday through Friday, from 10am – 2pm, at the Albany Park location.

Youth After School Program
WRC has an after school program for youth refugees and is in need of volunteers to help Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:30 – 6:00pm, annually, from September through May.
