Soup Kitchen Volunteer Opportunities

South Park Church changed the soup kitchen venue in late 2016 to a church which has a greater need and capacity. Volunteers from South Park Church began serving at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on New Year’s Eve 2016 and have been serving every six weeks since then. It’s been rewarding to shine the light of Christ on the guests at the soup kitchen, and everyone who serves finds it a blessing.

General information on how to serve is below as well as open dates for 2017. Up to 12 volunteers can participate on each date. If you are interested, please contact John Carbone at 847-612-2188 or j7carbone@sbcglobal.net. Please let him know how many volunteers from your family can serve and provide your cell phone, so he coordinate car pooling as the service date grows nearer.
