South Park Church is looking for two internship students to serve in a one year internship with the possibility of a second year residency.

Who We Are

For over 75 years, we have had a strong commitment to the authority of the Bible and the need for a personal relationship with Jesus. Vibrant ministries equip people to grow in Christ across the age spectrum, and multi-generational relationships are nurtured. As an interdenominational church, we have developed a wide range of partnerships with some of the most innovative ministries in the world. Our mission is to help people walk with God, connect as family, and love people in Jesus’ name.

Why Interns

We believe that kingdom influence is more about sending capacity than seating capacity. We embrace our calling as a sending church that invests in next generation leaders (Matthew 9:35-38; Acts 13:1-3).

We are committed to:

  • Developing deep and healthy relationships among staff and interns.
  • Providing wide exposure to ministry environments and meaningful ministry experiences.
  • Commissioning and championing leaders who may serve locally or globally.

What We Offer

  • We are a church family who excels at welcoming people into community.
  • We have a talented and theologically astute staff eager to invest next generation leaders.
  • Our multi-generational ministries share a passion for making disciples from cradle to grave and have pursued innovative ways of making this a reality.
  • We embrace women in ministry at all levels of church and pastoral leadership.
  • We have partnerships with some of the most innovative ministries in the world. Key leaders in ministries like Safe Families and World Relief attend our church. We have relationships with outreach partners in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and across the United States.
  • We are nurturing increased awareness of and involvement in transformative justice within our congregation and beyond.
  • We offer exposure to the church renewal movement known as The Great Banquet (a counterpart to Cursillo, Emmaus, and Tres Dias movements). It builds on a three day retreat that immerses guests in God’s grace and partners with other churches in the process.

The Internship

  • After the first semester that focuses on broad exposure to ministry areas, we will follow a personalized approach to setting goals that allows interns to focus on their area of calling.
  • The internship will be personalized to the person's sense of ministry calling.
  • Interns will work 15 hours a week.
  • Interns who are selected will receive $3,000 scholarship per semester in the first year.
  • The internships run from Fall - Summer.
  • Exemplary students may be invited to participate in a second year of internship/residency with increased responsibility and benefits.

  • A strong sense of calling to ministry
  • Agreement with the South Park Church Statement of Faith
  • Currently enrolled in a Masters level seminary program
