Gretchen Gullo

How did you become a Christian?
I loved Jesus as a child but He became Lord of my life summer of my senior year in high school thru Young Life.

How long have you been at SPC?
Over 30 years

Why are you drawn to the role of Elder?
I had been praying to be used more by God as I have more time to serve Him. When I was contacted by Sue Linse (Nominator), I sought out the Lord and followed His lead. I am humbled to be considered.

What is your favorite Bible verse or story?
My life verse is Psalm 37:4 - "Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of the heart." My favorite Bible story is currently Habakkuk. I had never really read that book of the Bible until God gave it to me for comfort a day after my son died and I was caring for my husband who was in hospice at the time. God is so good!

Where are you involved through SPC?
I have been serving in MOPS since its inception 25+ years ago. CBS for 25+ years, VBS, Women’s Ministry, Wonderland, and helping out former Children’s pastors through the years as needed.

What is a fun fact about you?
My dad was from Egypt, so I loved to belly dance as a young adult.
