Equip: Adult Education

Equip is a ministry designed to “equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church.” (Eph 4:11-13)

Equip provides a safe environment for adults (and teens) to ask hard questions, practice skills, not always get it right, and grow.    Equip topics are practical and equip you with practical skills for ministry at home, work, community, and church.

There will be different teachers for different series/sessions, recognizing that God has gifted people differently and the schedule will be series-based, with breaks between series.

EQUIP: Mental Health
Sundays at 9 a.m., October 15 - November 19

October 15:  Created for Connection: overcoming disconnection & loneliness in a post pandemic world.

In lots of ways, life has returned to Pre Pandemic levels. So why do so many of us still feel isolated and lonely? Come learn tools we all can use to foster better connection, communication and community.

October 22 & 29:   Depression:  What helps & what hurts.
Depression is at an all time high and while some things have changed regarding how to respond–many truths have remained. Come and learn from Nancy Vitacco LCSW as she helps us understand what depression is and what we, as believers, can do to deal with it. On October 29 we will hear testimonies from those that have found some victory in their own lives.

November 5 & 12:  Anxiety & Prayer:  What works, What doesn't & Why
Prayer is one of our most powerful allies for battling anxiety but why doesn't it always seem to work?  This topic will be based on a combination of neuroscience, psychology and Biblical principles delivered in an interactive format.  We will be reminded how prayer can reclaim its rightful role as the strongest pillar of the peace and calm that God offers us in this anxious world.  Led by Troy McLennan LCSW.
