How did you become a Christian?
I was raised in a Christian home, my family regularly attended church and Sunday Bible school as I was growing up. I am a lifelong believer in Jesus Christ. I was baptized during youth church camp in a river when I was a freshman in high school.

How long have you been at SPC?
My family began attending SPC in fall 2017 and became members spring 2018. So about four years.

Why are you drawn to the role of Elder?
I was approached by the nominating committee, and enter into this role with humility. I try to be open to the Holy Spirit’s direction in my life, so after prayer and discussing it with my husband and sons, I have no reservations about serving as an elder. I look forward to encouraging and supporting the church staff and church members, and collaborating with the other elders.

What is your favorite Bible verse or story?

My favorite Bible story is when Jesus walked on the Sea of Galilee in Matthew chapter 14.
My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 40:1-3

Where are you involved through SPC?
I am a member of a small group of empty nester couples. I’m involved with Thrive Women Bible studies and events. I've volunteered with Ascent in the past.

What is a fun fact about you?

I am a Boy Scout adult leader and held several roles including CubMaster for 1st through 5th graders, and Eagle Guide working with high schoolers. So far I’ve helped 17 scouts earn the rank of Eagle, including my own two sons. But I’ve never slept in a tent outdoors. Email
